This collection holds a really special place in my portfolio, the theme is fusing worlds meaning the fusing of two culture Mexican and American. I was inspired by my parents story of crossing the boarder from Mexico to the USA. The collection is meant to flow with the process of entering the USA broader in a form of clothing. My collection is meant to represent the story through it’s garments of the beginning of the boarder and using the classic elements and colors and textures from the Mexican culture and as they cross the boarder they loose that color and familiarity to “blend” into the boarder and then the final looks is arriving in the US and adopting a more American look.
